Who We Are
Open Page Publishing is a book publishing services company based in Dallas, Texas, United States. You can reach us at:
- Mailing address: 1700 Pacific Ave, 16th Floor, Suite 1650, Dallas, TX 75201, United States
- Email: info@openpagepublishing.com
- Phone: +1 (713) 364-6886
This policy applies to openpagepublishing.com, our contact and inquiry forms, our live chat, and messages you send to our Business account on WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, and Facebook Messenger.
What We Collect & How We Use It
We collect three categories of information:
- Information you give us directly — name, email, phone number, the publishing service you are interested in, and the message or project details you choose to share through our forms, live chat, or email.
- Information from Meta platforms (WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger) — when you message our Business account, we receive your sender name or profile handle, your phone number on WhatsApp or your platform user ID, and the excerpt of the message you send us when you first reach out. We do not store your ongoing conversation history.
- Information collected automatically — IP address, approximate location, browser, device, pages viewed, referring site, and timestamps.
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, deliver the publishing services you engage us for, operate and secure the website, measure how our ads perform, and meet our legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Where Your Data Goes
Your inquiry information stays with us. Information from contact forms, live chat, and Meta Business channels is processed only by Open Page Publishing and the infrastructure we operate: our AWS Lambda lead pipeline, our internal CRM, and our Google Workspace inbox at info@openpagepublishing.com. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with third-party marketers, data brokers, or other advertisers — matching the promise shown on our contact form.
Website analytics and ad measurement are separate and do not receive your form submissions or Meta messages. These tools see only standard web-traffic signals:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — pageview and behavior analytics
- Google Ads — conversion tracking
- Microsoft Advertising (UET) — conversion tracking
- Tawk.to — live chat widget, which receives only what you type into the widget
Service providers are bound by contract to process your information only on our instructions.
Retention & Deletion
We keep contact inquiries and Meta-channel messages in our CRM for 12 months from your last contact with us, then purge them. Active client records are kept for the length of the engagement plus any period required by law or accounting rules. Google Analytics retains event data for 14 months by default; live chat transcripts follow Tawk.to default retention settings.
To request earlier deletion or any other privacy right, email info@openpagepublishing.com with the subject line Privacy Request. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Your Privacy Rights
California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we hold, request deletion or correction, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under CCPA and CPRA. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
EU, EEA, and UK (GDPR / UK-GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to our processing of your information, withdraw consent where we rely on it, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are consent for non-essential cookies and optional marketing, legitimate interests for responding to inquiries and operating the site, contract for delivering the services you engage us for, and legal obligation where applicable.
Canada (PIPEDA): you have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold. Complaints can be filed with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Meta Platform Data (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger)
We use the Meta Graph APIs to receive messages you initiate with our Business account on WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, or Facebook Messenger. We use this data only to respond to your inquiry and to create a lead record in our internal CRM. We do not use Meta Platform data to target advertising on Meta or anywhere else, and we do not sell or share it with other advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. Meta-sourced messages and associated lead data are deleted within 12 months from last contact, or sooner at your request. You can also delete your data using the tools Meta provides on each platform.
Cookies & Opt-Out
Our site uses cookies and small scripts from the services listed above to run the site, remember preferences, power live chat, and measure ads. You can:
- Control cookies through your browser settings
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Manage Google advertising cookies through Google My Ad Center
- Opt out of Microsoft Advertising UET on the Microsoft opt-out page
Blocking non-essential cookies will not stop you from using the site or contacting us.
Other Information
Children. Our services are directed to adults — authors, parents, and guardians who commission books for young readers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security. We use HTTPS and TLS encryption, CRM access controls, and contractual protections with our service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
International transfers. We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where required by law, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new Effective Date, and material changes will be highlighted.
